This World Art Day street documentary is from the YouTube Lab within Chilli Maple Labs—my space for unscripted, cross-platform creativity. This 3-minute film captures conversations with five strangers in Riga—a ballet dancer, musician, gamer, philosophy teacher, and business student—sharing what art means to them. It’s raw, real, and completely improvised. Just the way Chilli Maple Labs was always meant to be. It’s messy, honest, and completely improvised. Just the way I like it.
It started over a decade ago with a BBC documentary clip about time perception that somehow racked up nearly 100,000 views while I was AFK. Then life happened. A full circle later—after becoming a dad and reigniting my creative fire through my daughter’s imagination—I got some new gear, hit the streets and just went for it.
This isn’t content. This is a living archive of creativity in motion. On Instagram, I share unfiltered moments—my daughter discovering the world, textures that stop me mid-walk, quiet coffee rituals, and flashes of street life. Facebook is where those images get context—rants, thoughts, and the in-between reflections. On Canva and Sora, I experiment with visual design: posters, thumbnails, layouts that may never be published—but matter because they were made. Each platform is its own Lab, and every post is a clue—part of the Chilli Maple universe where there are no scripts, just sparks.
No polished portfolios, no fake engagement farming. Just snapshots of life, design experiments, thought threads, and whatever weird beauty shows up when you stop trying to “make content” and just make something.
I share whatever catches my eye—or stops me in my tracks. My daughter discovering the world, unexpected textures, chalk drawings, weird lighting, or a random street corner that says something. Instagram is my visual notebook. Nothing posed. Nothing planned. Just real fragments of life.
This is where those images get context. Raw captions. Longform rants. Reflections I didn’t know I needed to write until they were typed. It’s less a feed, more a thought trail. If Instagram is the photo, Facebook is the footnote—and sometimes the full essay.
On Canva and Sora, I experiment with visual design: posters, thumbnails, layouts that may never be published—but matter because they were made. Teaching myselfthe nuances of AI powered visual design along the way.
Some days, I don’t want screens. I want paint, dirt, glue, solder, or chalk. Warhammer minis, lighting rigs, sketchbooks, gardening, playdough with my kid—if it uses my hands and my gut, it belongs here. The Analog Lab is messy, real-world creativity in its rawest form
Chilli Maple is what happens when you stop asking permission and start making things that matter. It’s not a brand built for algorithms—it’s a creative identity born from chaos, clarity, and curiosity. Across platforms, mediums, and moods, Chilli Maple Labs exists to explore what’s possible when you embrace all your contradictions and let the process lead.
Before podcasts or street documentaries, Chilli Maple was just a gamertag. I used it to stay anonymous in the early days of online gaming—no pressure, no expectations, just play. Over time, it evolved into a creative alter ego. What started as a way to hide became a way to show up honestly, without filters. Today, Chilli Maple is how I make sense of the world—through art, storytelling, curiosity, and chaos.
Chilli Maple Labs is a multiverse of creative spaces. Each platform is its own lab: YouTube is the doc + podcast lab. Instagram is the raw visual diary. Facebook is the thought lab. Canva, Sora, and other tools are where I test visual storytelling. Xbox and gaming platforms are creative playgrounds too. Wherever Chilli Maple shows up, it’s an invitation to experiment.
Gaming isn’t a side hobby—it’s part of the ecosystem. As Chilli Maple, I game the way I create: narratively, intuitively, and with curiosity. RPGs, character builds, and lore dives often bleed into my creative work elsewhere. Streaming, improvising, and interacting in game worlds is one of my favorite labs because it keeps things playful, yet meaningful when used to reflect irl not escape it.
I’m not chasing clicks. I’m chasing connection—and sometimes just the joy of making something weird with my kid. The Analog Lab is just as vital as the digital ones: painting Warhammer minis, playing with chalk, sketching lighting setups, gardening. If it uses my hands, it grounds my mind. Chilli Maple is about process over perfection. Every output is a result of permission—not performance. No format embodies that more than analog.
Got a wild idea? Let's crawl into its cave and give it a tickle on the chin. A story that won’t sit still? Let's build it a padded room with a trampoline! Chilli Maple Labs is where unfiltered voices, street-level documentaries, experimental podcasts, and spontaneous jams come to life. No rules. No templates. Just real people making real things. If you’re down to create without a script, hit me up. Let’s see what happens.
